New Criminal Complaint Against Cendoya In URSEC Case

Further charges have been unveiled against former Frente Amplio URSEC director Nicolás Cendoya for allegedly working to compel URSEC inspectors to return equipment to operators of an unlicensed radio station in Palmitas after a closure order was executed. This amounted to essentially providing a radio frequency use authorization while evading the legal process for doing so.

An apparent attempt to cover up irregularities in the URSEC administration during the Frente Amplio period of government lead to the ongoing investigations which have lead to charges against at least two prosecutors for leaking information on the investigation to the investigated.
