Lebanon Puts All Of Their Port Officials Under House Arrest After Massive Explosion Yesterday

After an explosion at the Port of Beirut yesterday killed more than 135 and wounded thousands, all officials overseeing storage and security at the Port have been placed under house arrest. The explosion is suspected to have involved 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate seized from a ship abandoned in the port in the fall of 2013 and had since been sitting in a warehouse.
