URSEC: Official Who Took Documents And Former Frente Amplio Director Declared Subjects Of Investigation

Recently resigned Frente Amplio URSEC director Nicolás Cendoya and the judiciary official caught on camera are being formally declared subjects of an ongoing investigation. As the scandal surrounding the pilfered documents grew Cendoya resigned his seat on URSEC's board. Documents collected from a number of former URSEC officials collected in Monday's raids are undergoing review as well.

The attention drawn by the theft appears to have lead to uncovering numerous irregularities in the communications regulator under the former left coalition government.
