Sociedad Uruguaya de Medicina Intensiva Warns Against Home Made Ventilators As Design For "CharrĂșa Respirator" Circulates

As the not-quite common cold hysteria continues, the Sociedad Uruguaya de Medicina Intensiva has issued a warning about the potential dangers posed by home made medical ventilators as several Uruguayan designs and working prototypes for the machines have begun circulating. Roberto Canessa's "CharrĂșa Respirator" which uses a windshield wiper motor to work a manual ambu bag type respirator is the most prominent design circulating at present.
